I always debate on whether or not I should offer themed mini sessions. To be 100% honest, I’m not creative at all and really struggle when it comes to coming up with cute ideas. If you know me. you know I’m not a “proppy” photographer. I really don’t use many props and like to keep my photos simple and timeless. In October I started throwing out the idea of doing some Christmas minis but once again I had no idea what I’d do for a setup. I knew I wanted something simple and fun because when photographing kids they can get easily overwhelmed and uncomfortable if there is a lot going on. I ended up deciding on offering two mini sessions, a Christmas PJ themed session and a dressy themed session. I absolutely love Christmas pajamas, seriously y’all… Hannah has at least 4 pairs this year, so I knew I wanted to offer those but also wanted to give parents the option to do a session in their Christmas outfits as well! I thought cookies and milk would be the perfect addition for the PJ minis! (A HUGE thanks to Tammy Bailey of Sweet Dreams Bakery for providing the delicious cookies) I also put together a simple gold and cream setup for the dressy minis!
I couldn’t have been more pleased with how smooth the day went. We photographed a total of 13 kids and they all did AWESOME! I’ve been so excited to share this blog. Be prepared… Cuteness overload!!Thanks again to Tammy Baily of Sweet Dreams Bakery for the amazing Christmas cookies! Tammy is a baker located in Princeton, WV!
