If there’s one thing my daughter absolutely loves, it’s glitter. As a mom though, there’s nothing that makes me shudder more than when she comes home with a craft from school that’s covered in glitter. It’s everywhere in a matter of seconds… The floor of my vehicle, the floor of my house, the bathtub, it probably even makes it’s way into my food somehow. EVERYWHERE. I’ve wanted to do a glitter shoot with Hannah for about 3 years though. There’s nothing sweeter than a little girl covered in glitter. I knew I couldn’t get away with it by setting up my portable studio in my home though, Adam would kill me! When Erin and I opened Giggle Box Studios I knew a glitter session was in the near future! Things got busy and one day Erin and I were driving home from Charleston and I told her about my glitter idea. She immediately said “Let’s do it!” and Glitterbox minis were born! We announced them that evening and had booked over 35 sessions within the next week. (Seems like I’m not the only momma that loathes glitter!)
Erin and I had such a blast at these sessions. As you can see by all of the smiles in these images, the girls had so much fun. It’s not very often a little girl gets to PLAY in glitter so they were all beyond excited for their sessions. They came dressed in gorgeous dresses, had their hair fixed and some even wore a little makeup. Erin and I talked all day about how sweet it was seeing these little girls so excited for their sessions and watching them genuinely smile and laugh. Being photographers, we see the “cheese” face a lot. These little girls were truly having so much fun. It was a great day and was so refreshing! These images were a true labor of love for Erin and I. She spent two days photographing them and I spent around 40 hours hand editing each and every image!
Due to the mess, we won’t be doing these sessions again until next year. We can’t wait to see everyone then!
